Which destination to select for your trip

Choosing the right destination coverage gives you an added layer of protection on your trip. For holidays within Australia, select a Domestic Single Trip policy. If you're venturing beyond Australia, choose an International Single Trip policy and let us know your main destination.

Be sure to include any regions where you’re spending more than 48 hours during your trip.

This policy will not cover any loss, injury or illness, dental, damage or legal liability arising directly or indirectly from travel in, to or through destinations that are subject to “Do Not Travel” advice from the Australian Government, as well as events occurring in any international conflicts or interventions involving the use of force or coercion, or where a sanction would prevent us from paying your claim (see General condition 15 and General exclusions 11 and 13 for more detail).

There is no cover on this policy for Antarctica.

What is Single-Trip Travel Insurance?

Single-Trip Travel Insurance is designed to prepare you for a domestic or international journey. Unlike annual multi-trip policies, this coverage is suited for a single trip, providing additional protection for that specific period.

What isn’t covered

While our Single-Trip Travel Insurance provides added peace of mind, there are some exclusions you should be aware of. Your policy won't cover:

  • pre-existing medical conditions that weren't declared or aren't covered under your policy
  • engaging in high-risk activities not specified in your policy terms
  • travelling against official government travel advisories
  • unattended luggage or personal belongings

Can I extend my policy if I decide to prolong my trip?

You may be eligible to extend the dates of your current, existing cover. If this applies to your situation, please contact us on 02 9333 3902 or email us at info@insureandgo.com.au

Are adventure activities like skiing or scuba diving covered?

We cover certain adventure activities within the Single-Trip Travel Insurance policy, subject to certain conditions and exclusions that may apply. Some activities may require an add-on to be purchased, for cover for participation in that activity.

For a detailed breakdown of activities, coverage, special conditions and excess, please consult the Sports & Activities, Winter Sports Cover and Activities Plus sections in the PDS.

How do I make a claim if something goes wrong during my trip?

You can either lodge a claim online or download a claims form from the website and post it to us with all your supporting documents (e.g. receipts, police reports). We aim to give you a response within 10 business days of us receiving your documentation.

Please contact us if you have any questions regarding the claims process. Claims should be registered within 30 days of completing your travel, or as soon as reasonably practicable.

Does the policy cover trip cancellations due to COVID-19?

COVID-19 cover is limited to the events listed in Sections M1 and M2 of the Product Disclosure Statement. It doesn’t cover government travel bans, border closures or general quarantine requirements.
